Cannot connect to JustVanilla? Connection checklist

Check Minecraft connection errors step by step, confirm the Java or Bedrock address, and send the JustVanilla team a clear support report.

Start with the message on your screen

Copy the exact error before changing settings. Check that you entered mc.justvanilla.net for Java, or bedrock.justvanilla.net with port 19132 for Bedrock. Leave out https://, spaces and website paths.

Match the symptom to a useful check

These checks narrow the problem; an error by itself does not identify the cause. Change one thing at a time, then note whether the result changed.

JustVanilla currently runs Minecraft 26.1.2. Players can also join using older versions and the newest version. The team updates as soon as it is able.

Connection symptoms and sensible next steps
Error or symptomCheckNext step
Unknown host / address not foundCompare the spelling with the joining page. Use the game address, not a web URL.Copy the correct address and try once more. If it persists, report the exact error; do not assume the server is down.
Outdated client / outdated serverNote your edition and exact client version. The server runs Minecraft 26.1.2 and supports older and newest clients; Java and Bedrock numbers are not interchangeable.Send the full mismatch message and ask staff which client version to try. Support for older clients does not mean every historical version works.
Timed out / unable to connect to worldCheck edition, address and (for Bedrock) port 19132. Note the time and whether it repeats.Send the report below if it persists. A timeout alone does not prove a ban, outage or account problem.
No Add Server optionCheck your device and edition. Some console interfaces restrict adding custom servers.Ask the JustVanilla team for device-specific help. Do not change DNS or install an unverified workaround.
Multiplayer is disabled / account restrictionsCheck the Minecraft or Microsoft account message and the official account help.Use official account/family settings guidance; ask the account organiser where applicable. Never share a password or sign-in code with support.

Send a short support report

Copy this template and fill in what you know: Edition and version: Device: Server address and port entered: Exact error message: Time and timezone: Happens every time or intermittently: Checks already tried:

Share it through the official JustVanilla Discord. Redact account details and unrelated private information from screenshots. Staff will not need your password, token or sign-in code.

Keep the test small

If the first checks do not help, stop changing unrelated settings and report the result. This checklist is not a live outage monitor; do not infer server health from a single failed attempt.
