Choose your edition
Java Edition and Bedrock Edition use different joining screens. Use the address for the edition you launch. Java & Bedrock crossplay supported.
Join with Java Edition
Open Minecraft: Java Edition and choose Multiplayer → Add Server. Name the entry JustVanilla and enter mc.justvanilla.net as the server address. Save the entry, select it and choose Join Server. Enter only the hostname, without https:// or a website path.
Join with Bedrock Edition
Where Add Server is available, open Play → Servers → Add Server. Name the entry JustVanilla, enter bedrock.justvanilla.net as the server address and use port 19132. Save the entry and join.
We update Geyser as soon as updates are available to keep Bedrock support current.
Some console editions restrict adding custom servers. If your screen has no Add Server option, ask for help with your device; these steps do not require changing DNS or installing a workaround.
Check your game version
JustVanilla currently runs Minecraft 26.1.2. Players can also join using older versions and the newest version. The team updates as soon as it is able.
Java and Bedrock version numbers are different. If the game reports a version mismatch, include your exact edition and version when asking staff which client to use. Do not choose a version from an old tutorial or switch editions just to match a number.
Before entering the world
Read the rules and check allowed mods before you join. Start with a small first-session goal rather than expecting a protected plot or teleport home.
